Extranet Terms of Use
General
- Six Degrees hosts this Extranet service for clients and other authorized parties to access materials and is provided for the benefit of clients and other authorized parties. This User Agreement sets forth the terms and conditions governing your access and use of the Six Degrees Extranet. Please read these terms carefully before using the Extranet.
- By indicating your acceptance of this User Agreement and/or accessing the Six Degrees Extranet, you agree to comply with the terms set forth herein.
Permitted Uses
General
- Your User ID only allows you to view materials related to your relationship with Six Degrees, and provides no ability to view materials for any other party. You shall not attempt to access or view materials for any other party. If for any reason you obtain access to any materials not related to your relationship with Six Degrees, you shall immediately inform Six Degrees, at extranet@sixdegreespr.com and refrain from viewing or downloading such materials.
Viewing and Downloading
- You have the ability to view and download materials including documents and work product. You must maintain the appropriate level of confidentiality for material that you download from Six Degrees Extranet. Six Degrees is not responsible for the security of any material that you download from the Six Degrees
Extranet.
Uploading Material
- If your User ID grants the right, you have the ability to upload materials to the Six Degrees Extranet. You warrant that the materials you upload are for the purpose of your relationship with Six Degrees, and that such materials are free from any viruses, Trojan horses or any code that could harm any computer system. You are solely responsible for any material you upload and confirm that you will not upload
any illegal or offensive material.
Usernames & Passwords
- You are responsible for keeping your username and password secret, and undertake not to divulge this information to any person or entity, including where appropriate, but not limited to, anyone employed by the same employer as you. Likewise, you undertake not to use the username and/or password of any other person and/or entity.
- Your right to access the Extranet ceases on termination of your employment by either you or your employer. In such circumstances you hereby undertake to immediately notify Six Degrees in writing and to immediately cease all use of the Extranet.
- You and, where appropriate, your employer are responsible for all statements made and for all acts or omissions that occur while your password is being used. You hereby agree to indemnify Six Degrees for all reasonable costs, expenses, fees, fines or penalties incurred as the result of inappropriate, negligent, illegal or fraudulent use of the Extranet.
- Six Degrees retains the right to remove any client or individual users access to the Extranet at anytime.
File Uploads & Downloads
- You are responsible in all respects for the content of the material you place on the Extranet.
- The maximum file size permitted to be uploaded to the Extranet is 150mb per file. However, users are requested not to upload files that are larger than they reasonably need to be.
- Six Degrees requires that the owner/originator ensures that uploaded files are free from viruses.
- You will not upload any illegal or offensive material.
- Six Degrees will not be liable for any technical, legal, administrative or other problems arising from use of the Extranet.
- Six Degrees will not be responsible for backing up any content on the Extranet.
Privacy of Information
- You are granted access to folders that contain information that is relevant to you, either as a client or other authorised third party. You should not try to gain access to any other folders. If you cannot access a folder that you have been advised is available to you, please email: extranet@sixdegreespr.com
- The information located in the folders is not to be used for any purpose other than that intended. If you are not the owner/originator of the information located in the folder, you may not pass this information on to third parties without the express permission of the owner/originator.
- Six Degrees retains the right to monitor the use of the Extranet and any content or material there on. Security
- The Six Degrees Extranet uses industry standard security protection to protect against unauthorized access, including firewall protection and 256 bit encryption encoding. Six Degrees may change or enhance the security protection without notice to you. You shall not attempt to disable or circumvent any security features on the Six Degrees Extranet.
Availability
- Six Degrees will endeavour to make the Extranet accessible 24 hours a day, seven days a week. However, Six Degrees will not be liable if for any reason the Extranet is unavailable at any time for any period.
- Access to the Six Degrees Extranet may be suspended temporarily without notice in the case of system failure, maintenance or repair or for reasons beyond Six Degrees's control.
Technical Assistance
Data Protection
- All parties agree to comply, and you will ensure that any users in your organisation will comply, with the provisions of the Data Protection Act 1998 (the “Act”) as replaced, modified or amended from time to time and all regulations made under the Act and any additional data protection laws in respect of any data transferred for the purpose of the use of the Extranet.
Disclaimer
- Whilst Six Degrees endeavours to ensure that the information on the Six Degrees Extranet is correct. We cannot warrant the accuracy and completeness of the information contained on Six Degrees Extranet and you agree that you will not act or rely on the information contained on the Six Degrees Extranet.
Liability
- Six Degrees excludes all liability and responsibility for any amount or kind of loss or damage that may result to you or a third party in connection with this Six Degrees Extranet or the results of use of the Six Degrees Extranet or the materials on the Extranet, including but not limited to loss or damage due to viruses that may infect your computer, equipment, software, data or other property on account of your access to, use of the Six Degrees Extranet or your downloading any material from the Six Degrees Extranet. Six Degrees advises that users carry out their own virus check before using the Six Degrees Extranet.
Misuse
- Any user found to be breaking any aspect of these terms and conditions may have their access and content removed from the Extranet.
- You may not use the Six Degrees Extranet for any unlawful purposes.
Applicable Law
- The Extranet has been provided by Six Degrees, in England. English Law shall govern its use at all times and, in the event of a dispute, the relevant parties shall irrevocably submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English Courts.
Acceptance of these Terms
- By accessing any part of the Extranet, you shall be deemed to have accepted these terms in full.
